Chill Out You Little Trout
I went to 711 to get cash back so I could buy a $5 Hot And Ready pizza from Little Caesars for a finals study session. I bought gum and later found out you have to buy something of at least $2 to get cash back— so I got a hook up. Does that mean I go there too often? I frequently go cause it be close by. Thank heaven for 711…
As I exited, I noticed a man outside asking for change. I didn’t have any cash, or change other than what I was using for the pizza.
When he asked for some cash I apologized and told him I didn’t. Before I could even offer to buy him some food, he says…
“I see cash in your wallet…”
What the bleep is that about? I was speechless and yes, it was awkward.
I apologized again and told him it was for someone else.
His reply: “Ya, ya…” (as he proceeded to brush me off and move on with his life)
I didn’t know what to do, so I just walked away.
Although telling someone to back the freak up and mind their own business is tempting, I’m glad I just walked away from that situation. I doubt it would have changed anything if I told him off. I don’t even know what he may be going through, what he’s been through, or if he actually was trying to scam me. Maybe he just had a bad day. I can’t really hold that against him since I’m a woman, who has a period, who is not always in the nicest of moods. Thus, I can’t consider assumptions factual— its best to just move on.
All I know is if he hadn’t looked into my wallet and implied I was lying or something I would have gladly helped by buying him a burrito, or a bomb.com hotdog.
Just saying…
