In less than a year I will be a college grad…
Double u tee eff?? There are times when I worry about what I am going to do, times when I don’t think about it so much and times I don’t have any fear.
Either way, in June 2011 I will have completed my undergraduate degree. And. That. Is. Insane.
Even though I was encouraged my whole life to go to college, I never really felt I was smart enough, and at times, I felt I wouldn’t fit in very well amongst a bunch of geniuses. Although, most people are brilliant in their own way at my school, they are more down to Earth and relatable than my young mind imagined.
I have learned everyone has the potential to achieve success if they are given opportunity and guidance—which I was blessed with growing up. However, there is something about the UC system that has the ability to nurture thought in a unique way. Since I have been in school, certain professors have altered my self perception. It is because of them, I truly have come to understand my full potential, and would now categorize myself ”smart”.
Thank you UC system. Even though you may not be on the best track with funding and money management, you have still benefited my life in many ways.
